For real though, you saw him like. A few hours later at the camp. If there had been any horrible consequences, don't you think you wouldn't noticed?

Plus, I'm pretty sure Mando's head is harder than a tree branch.

He could have had a broken nose. I would never dare to ask him to remove his mask, so how would I have known.

Well, he probably would've told you "today, Riz broke my nose by walking me into a tree." I feel that is a subject that would've come up.

[Listen, Mando might not be partway feral like Riz, but he is also not big on fancy manners and stupid social rules. He's just a down to earth (space?) sort of guy.]

Well he is, in general. At least when we speak with one another.

Okay, but I am starting to thinking you are a special case when it comes to Mando. I guess, if the two of you aren't dating, maybe he thinks of you as his best friend? Like me and Fabian?

I don't know about that, either. Best friends are typically privy to all of one anothers' secrets. Perhaps he simply recognizes manners are the best way to deal with myself.

Best friends don't have to know all your secrets.

[Riz and Fabian had been best friends since the start of freshman year (one-sided) but Riz definitely hadn't rushed to tell Fabian his secrets. His secrets were his secrets. That was separate from best friend stuff.]

Best friends just means wanting to hang out all the time, and that you think they are super cool.

Surely there are SOME things that must be shared to achieve a 'best friends' status.

[And uh. Shadowmaru is pretty darn closed-off.]

Oh yeah, definitely. You can share a best friend necklace or bracelets, but I'm not really good at braiding those. Penny was way better at it.

[Which is why Riz bought Fabian a best friend necklace. He tried with his crime yarn, but it just had ended up in a tangled web, and while he could've asked Penny, it felt like it was the sort of thing he should do himself.]
